In Deep
This is a deeper side of her
where soul-thoughts linger
caught within the web of life
past present future
veiled… hidden
so unalike her game face
the one she uses to protect loved ones
from her inner silence.
Her game face smiles, eyes twinkle with aged mischievousness
but this is her deeper side… how she feels inside
how she sees herself
soul-thoughts drift in slow motion
no clamor, not this deep;
This deep, the waters run still
each thought suspended on a thread, a mere breath away
from extinction…
… a whisper away from forgotten dreams
such thoughts are ancient thoughts
carry-over thoughts
from lifetimes of searching
never finding
herself.
